Week 11/24-30/2024
Suggested Scripture to Ponder this week:

Isaiah 51:11
I Peter 1:8

 So the ransomed of the Lord shall return,

And come to Zion with singing,

With everlasting joy on their heads.

They shall obtain joy and gladness;

Sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Isaiah 51:11 (NKJV)

Whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory.

I Peter 1:8 (NKJV)

Commentary:

     We should never take our salvation for granted.  What God has done for us is beyond understanding.  We should remind ourselves and ponder this great, this tremendous gift.

     Many are praying for revival.  We should also pray for our individual, personal joy to be renewed.  This is how revival begins: with individual believers seeking to fully know our Lord and Savior and fully take in the enormity of what He has done for us, and what He has promised to do for us.  Only then will we worship Him with true adoration.  Only then will we hunger and thirst for Him and cherish time spent alone with Him.  Only then will we truly "seek those things above" (Colossians 3:1-2) in every aspect of our lives.  Only then will we allow Him to cleanse our heart from the dust and stains of the world.  Only then will we experience true joy unspeakable.

     Revival begins in the hearts of individual believers praying and seeking to renew His joy in our hearts.  His joy will give us a hunger and thirst for Him, and then, as we experience a renewal of His love in us, we will have unity in the church and an urgent compassion for the lost.

      Then we will see revival.

In God is my salvation and my glory;  The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

Psalm 62:7  (NKJV)
